I went to the festival for the second year and it was great - as expected. The films were amazing, really can't believe what a high standard they were. The atmosphere was electric - can't wait until next year as this festival has been grown so much from year to year. Keep up the good work!

I was dissapointed I could't attend every night, but I attended the comedy and horror evenings.I liked the fact thet the films continually ran and were mixed in that there were short films foreign films and annimation all mixed in and not in specific categories. The whole process was relaxed and flexible, there was no expectations that attendees would sit formally and had a relaxed atmosphere even more so than a large cinema complex. The venue was basic but with excellent facilities and was accesible for wheelchairs. I would recommend the Deep fried film festival for film buffs and for those who are think of making a film. I left with a sense of being able to start a process making my own film, and Martin Geechan was very helpful in advising how to make a start and where to look for advice as well as funding information. He is certainly not precious with his trade

The wilds of Lanarkshire may seem to be a bit of a strange place to hold a film festival. But the Deep Fried Film Festival isn‚t an ordinary film festival. For a start, it‚s free. Then, because it has a low submission fees, there are tons of films made by people who just love films. Serious films, Short films, Funny films, Feature films, Documentaries, Animations made by kids, Animations made by guys with BAFTA, you never know what you‚re going to get. I‚ve been to the festival for the past two years and I can‚t wait till 2008
