General review: The staff were more than welcoming, couldn't do enough to help us, they were very friendly and made us feel like we were regulars. The staff really went out of their way to help us and anyone doing the ridgeway walk could not find a better place and nicer people anywhere in the chilterns.

Good Points: good value and location Bad Points: communal areas very grubby and tired. Very unsafe carpet in room corridor. broken window handle. extremely noisy bathroom fan. General review: ok stay was exclusive of breakfast but at no point were we made aware of how much breakfast would be until the final bill. Very little menu choice for vegetarian or someone who enjoys fish

Good Points: Furnishing and view Bad Points: noisy bathroom fan which took over half an hour to stop once light switched off! General review: Excellent accommodation especially as we had our boxer dog with us as well. The hotel were very accommodating and allowed dog in the bar as well. Will definitely stay again when in the vicinity. Meals were good too and staff friendly. An enjoyable overnight stay in a very quiet secluded village.

Watch out--the map location is wrong. The hotel is west of Princes Risborough, near Chinnor--not about 15t miles away on the A40 as the map shows.

Absolutely fantastic food, melt in the mouth roast beef, home cookeD roast potatos, not the usual deep fried or from a freezer, and the biggest home cooked yorkshire puddings. Excellent value for money offer, with a 3 course at £12-95 or a 2 course, great food great restauant, taking mother there for mothers day. Cant wait, Mrs K LOVELL
