Unfortunately the Jack and Jenny in Witham is currently closed. Until early November 2011 it was a delightful place for a drink or a meal.
It was not lack of business that killed it, but a strange argument between the owning company, and the tenant. I will not go into details, but it seems that the owning company have bitten off their nose to spite their face.
I hope that those concerned will quickly settle their differences so that this excelent friendly pub may soon re-open, preferably under the current Landlord.

Good pub food if a little over priced.
Not good as a drinking pub with friend staff are rude and unwelcoming and only too keen to kick you out so they can go home early.
