In reply to the last review. I'd like to point out that things do, by necessity, change and Abbots Mitre has taken a bold step. The restaurant has a good steady clientel who appreciate the atmosphere and service. The staff are always helpful and polite and the food always arrives in good time. There are some people who don't want to sit in a pub/inn and eat and prefer quieter surroundings. There are many other establishments that can cater for your previous rewer's needs - just remember we a not all the same.

The Abbots is no longer the great local pub of the past.No more public bar, just tables for food. All facilities have been removed. The menu is expensive and uninteresting.I sometimes wonder if some people could run a bath, let alone an Inn!
