Nothing but praise! 19 of us sat down at a huge candlelit table in our 'own' room next door to the bar. We had ordered in advance. The food was excellent and served on very hot plates .The service was first class, and miraculously we all got got served together in quick order.
Nothing was to much trouble.
This is a lovely old Pub/Restaurant and now has very good management.Highly recommended.

Cold food but good beer. If you like your Roast Water Buffalo completely rare and uncooked then this is the place to go. The meat looked like it hadn't even seen an oven and they messed up our order. We were all served a cold roast dinner with not rare meat but uncooked meat and the yorkshire pudding was a joke, it was like they had scrapped the bottom of the oven into a bowl, hmm lovely. Real shame because we travelled a fair way to be there and they let us down on the food front. The lesson learnt was do not book a table near the end of the lunch service because you get a plate of cold, raw meat and charcoalled yorkshires.

We have had the great pleasure of eating at Thomas Lord on several occasions since stumbling upon it one wet Saturday this year.
It is simply getting better and better and we love the food the people and the ambience.
More strength to you all.

The Thomas Lord has changed completely since my last visit early last year.
The dated and tired decor has been stripped back to reveal a truely charming rustic country pub.
Excellent range of local bitters, food locally sourced, with both to a high standard.
Easily one of the best pubs in Hampshire now, well done to the new owners.
