I phoned tescos to enquire about a product, I was on the phone 5 minutes only to be told customer service was busy. It took a long time before the phone was answered. Is this poor service or what.

'Welcome' was indifferent. Room appeared to be in a converted garden shed, smelt awful and bedding was damp. Shower room was absolutely disgusting.
Breakfast was truly shocking, and in the freakiest room I've ever been in, filthy, bizarre, stuffed clowns, teddies etc hanging from the ceiling! The owner's offer of a 'full english' has become one of our familie's catchphrases. I frankly felt very ashamed to be English if that was his idea of what a full english breakfast should be.
Overall it was a truly awful experience and grossly overpriced. Felt very embarrassed as there were several foreign families staying, what must they have thought, what a terrible welcome or farewell for anyone visiting the UK.

Freezing cold, suprised the checkout staff do not have hypothermia. Sour looking managers and service with a grimace.Stood at a till while the girl was trying to alert the manager that she needed assistance. The manager and supervisor where so busy with their conversation to even notice took 10 minutes. Manager when they did appear was about as friendly as a Doberman on heat to the assistant. Left feeling like I had been to the suermarket equivelent of Fawlty Towers. Did wonder if I would see Basil Fawlty hopping out from behind the beans as I returned to their beautifuly designed car park, have heard it was designed by the local infants school. Go again, yes I need the entertainment as a coniseur of human folly.

This store has one of the most disgustingly filthy and untidily dangerous store-front entrances I know of anywhere.
It is strewn with rubbish of all kinds, the bins are not even half-full and the number of construction equipment plant seems to increase every time we go there.
Much of this mechanical equipment is stowed, seeminly on a permanent basis, under the awning, and has components at eye level to a small person or child, or, in our case, to a person in a wheelchair.
Bearing in mind the recent announcement of a 14.5% increase in profits, this store management shows a deplorable lack of people awareness and persoanl safety - a Health & Safety inspection would tear you apart at the seams.
Get something done before there is an accident that will cause the victim pain and grief, and you a LOT of compensation.

This is a very nice old cottage with friendly owners. Our car broke down so we had little other option but to stay here. £60 for two adults and one 5 yr old. Thought it was £90 as we were charged this. Later discovered that it was £10 each for breakfast, my 5yr old boy only had cornflakes but was charged full amount anyway. Consisted of tinned tomatoes/mushrooms bacon ect I would have expected much better for £10 each. Room was clean and tidy. Shower alternated between hot and cold.. Owners wanted £5 extra for use of hairdryer/ironing board!! In the evening one beer was £2.50 it was a tin of carling from the fridge poured into a pint glass. There is a nice pub about 200 metres away and Tesco 24hr store in the other direction. These options were not mentioned by owners as I am sure they wanted us to waste about £70 on a tinned dinner they hoped to heat up for us. I would avoid this hotel/b&b unless you are feeling charitable to the obviously greedy/friendly owners.

Not only is there a limited menu but it is vastly over priced! For example starters of soup at 5 pounds each which were obviously Heinz soups followed by main courses consisting of oven chips, frozen veg and pies from 10 pounds ++ followed by tinned fruit cocktail and ice cream for 5 pounds. Sense of humour required. Selection of food maybe better appreciated if priced to reflect it's quality. Otherwise pleasant if a bit cluttered and tatty environment.
