Can't rate this place above "average" really. Wonderfully random mix of frequenters. The manager/ bar man type chap seemed a very flustered character-almost like a victim of the place! A forlorn figure... Some really loud types shouting at the end of the bar. Not obnoxious -but just "there". Plus an Italian man (I assume he was Italian as he was wearing an Italy sports shirt and waving his hands around a lot and saying "itssa niiice" and “ehhhh”) talking to one of his mob-like hit-man style dressed in all black- and that swarthy Italian look- sat on a bar chair hanging on his pearls of wisdom... Protection racket perhaps I wonder where the violin cases were? Can't say I like the decor mind you. I nearly ripped my shirt sticking to the bar!!! Still can't moan about the Rosé too much although a smidgeon on the pricey side. The Ale pie was absolutely marvellous and our whole part enjoyed the circus of the whole evening. I may have my party there just for the experience. Although they must sort the smoking area out- right by the main road and no shelter. Must come back for a re-run of the Goodfellas some other time! 6.4 our of 10. Could do better!!! Alan Crankshaw - Weston
