New management. No friendly welcome. Manager hiding somewhere? Food undercooked. Really really disappointed. Reluctantly paid the bill so as not to upset bar staff who were trying to do their best.
Not happy and sad as we never complain ever! So it must have been bad.Hope it is teething problems

When we arrived we were really taken with the Farmers Arms and its lovely canalside location. However we started to have second thoughts when our food hadn't arrived 45 minutes after we'd ordered. When it did eventually reach our table, the pie fillings were lukewarm, the chips greasy and the vegetables just awful. Thankfully the onion rings were nice. The waitress was unpleasant when I raised our concerns. Not cheap either. DEFINITELY ONE TO AVOID!

great pub, great staff, great food and great atmosphere! Eat and drink here on a regular basis and have not got a bad word to say! really lovely little country pub, if you havnt tried it in the last year since new landlord then you are missing out! Come down for a quiet drink by the open fire's or join in the fun when the Live bands are on, fab for all ages!

Stumbled upon it by accident and what a great Pub, food was really good with plenty of choice, it looked and tasted fresh, great atmosphere and staff, and I will definitely give it another go. Best pub meal in quite a while

The Farmers Arms New Lane Burscough is one of the best public houses in the area. They have a fantastic family restaurant serving good wholesome meals with generous portions. The battered fish and chips are better than any a have tasted, definitely try this dish! Recently they have been having live bands on during some evenings and i must say that the atmosphere is brilliant. The land lord has put on a vast range of beers and has the best tasting cask ales around. Defiantly a place to visit.

Thank you for a most enjoyable afternoon which my Husband and I spent at your premises, the atmostphere we found was friendly and the staff very courteous. The food was very well presented and the battered cod and chips were without a doubt the best we have tasted for years .We wish you every success for the future.
Kind Regards
Anita

What a fabulous pub, and great food.
Excellent location on the side of the canal ideal for a short or long walk.
Cant wait for the warmer weather weekends to arrive.
We will be going again!

My partner and I eat out a lot and it was the first time we have been disappointed. The pie I had had cold soggy pastry and worryingly undercooked. To add to this the young staff did not have the communication skills to address the matter, ignored my comments, and forgot the rest of our meal. When coming to pay we had an apology which was nice, only to overhear them saying how much customers do not matter and to be grateful to get anything. If they do not like customers then they should find a different job!

This is our local and I would just like to let everyone else know what an excellent pub it is. We have enjoyed a three course meal with a bottle of wine thrown in. Beautifully cooked and presented. If you fancy a treat, this pubs a gem.
