My family and I are regular visitors to the Whitchaff- the food and service are outstanding! The lovely waitress/barmaid is so friendly and helpful-a real credit to the place. My aim is to have a sweet here-I've never managed it yet! The starter and main course are so huge- even the sandwiches fill you up!I wouldn't hesitate to reccommend the Whitchaff, just make sure you're hungry when you go!

The food was absolutely brilliant and not overly priced like some places these days. I would definately recommend going here. The waitressess give excellent customer service as do the barmaids. I think the lady owner is abit snooty but her husband seemed very nice and genuine. Me and my family also had a family gathering for my mother's birthday and they made a real effort to make sure that she enjoyed it which was greatly appreciated, however, i think that if they were able to hold more people in the restaurant it would have been a truly rememberal day. I would like to say thank you very much to all the staff and the chef for the great meals and time we have had here.

The foods ok, but the service is terrible, we complained about the quality of one of our main meals, even the waitress thought the chicken was lamb stew! We were told we would have to pay for the meal if they were to change it. After asking to see the manager, who wouldn't come out they finally deducted the meal from the bill. Only after barring us from the pub.
