We had our wedding followed by a barbecue and evening reception with an over night stay in the bridal suite. The gardens were lovely and the food was fantastic. The room whee the ceremony was hels had not been set up very well. There were not enough chairs on the front rows even though the details had been discussed with the hotel staff and there junk including dj equipment at the front of the room which hadnt been moved even though we had been told it would be.
We had arranged to have a wine fountain with a blue coloured vodka based fruit cocktail as we dont drink wine. The drink was wine based and green which was disapointing because 1 I couldnt drink it and 2 it didnt go with the blue theme of the wedding.
The main room where we had our meal was set up very nicely. Ian told me he would have the seating plan blown up and put up outside the room. It wasnt made bigger he simply stuck the A4 piece of paper to a flip chart stand.
We had a sweet table for the evening do which we had arranged to have set up after the meal but it was set up before the meal.
As we went in the the meal Ian stood on and ripped my dress.
The Bridal suite was nice, clean and well equiped with towels, tea and coffe etc. The four poster bed was comfortable
and the 1/2 bottle of champagne and chocolates were a lovely touch.
The Full Welsh Beakfast (a fry up) provided in the restaurant the next morning was excellent and a good size. There was a also good choice of cereals, toast and fruit juice.
Over all the staff were friendly, helpful and made it a lovely stay. I feel more attention to details would have made a nice stay into an outstanding one. Although I would recommend the Cross Lanes for their food and accommodation, I feel there is room for improvement on the wedding reception side.

I would have thought listing your opening hours was one of the most important pieces of information for a shopper.
