Well, this is a brilliant pub! The staff (Callum and the woman who let me take a picture of her) are oh-so-friendly. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming and I never felt as comfortable as I did at the Maybole Arms.

Absolutely the most charming and hospitable pub in all of Scotland. We loved the Steak Pie and lively conversation. Engage the owner (Cullan sp?) in a conversation and you'll not be disappointed and most likely will walk away with a lovely gift. My husband and I were married in Scotland a year ago in Sept. we lunched at the Maybole Arms on our wedding day and he gave the groom a set of scottish sayings coasters (absolutely hysterical!)When we returned to Scotland for our 1st anniversary this past September, we of course had to return to the Maybole Arms. Cullan was once again the perfect host and sent the bride away with a gift this time, a tea towel w/ scottish sayings (even more of a hoot!). You'll not be disappointed in this pub, put it on your MUST list.
