Good Points: Very welcoming on arrival. We had a room at the rear of the guest house that was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Parking was not a problem. Lovely surprise with the complimentary cheese & biscuits in the evening Breakfast was great. A full choice of cooked or continental with lovely fresh coffee Bad Points: Delayed for 1.5 hours on arrival before room was available. General review: Will stay there again on our next visit and would recommend to relatives and friends.

We have recently returned from a fantastic break at The Royal Harbour Hotel, the best hotel we have ever visited in the UK or Europe! A beautiful building over looking the harbour, with beautiful decor and atmosphere throughout. On arrival we were given a guided tour of the hotel and all facilities in and surrounding the hotelwere explained, we immediately felt welcome and 'at home'. The room we had booked was in fact a twin room, and without question the owner immediately offered to up grade us to a harbour view room with balcony and four poster bed, at no additional cost. All aspects of the room were excellent, lots of storage space, most efficient en suite bath room, lots of plug sockets, tv, dvd player and more than enough refreshments. Walking out of the hotel in the evening there are 2 local pubs, The Churchill has amazing food deals, and the Foy Boat with real ales and welcoming staff and customers. On return each evening we were welcomed with a delicious complementary supper of a vast selection of cheese, biscuits, pate, and sweet treats, each evening happily spent on our balcony looking at the harbour sipping wine and enjoying supper! The location is ideal for exploring the area either on foot , by local bus, or by car. We enjoyed a coastal walk to Broadstairs, a lovely typical seaside resort,on our walk we discovered a small cove,Dumpton Gap a must for sun worshippers and those wanting a good mug of coffee and watching the world go by! Breakfast each day was the best ever, cereals, a range of bread, yoghurt,a whole smoked ham, cheeses, smoked salmon and a whole honeycomb, then cooked breakfast of our choice made to order. Value for money the hotel is the best we have ever known, we will certainly return and would recommend the hotel to all. Many thanks to all staff at the hotel for making our visit so perfect!
