most enjoyable stay , lovely friendly staff, room very clean , lovely clean fluffy towels every day ,good choice of food ,in fact excellant value for money and can recommend this hotel would definatly visit again.

We had a wonderful stay. The rooms have much inproved from our last stay and the food was out of this world. The new owners have certainly put there stamp on it and what a differance. 10 out of 10.

We booked a family room for two nights at the Horse and Groom for GBP 60 per night. The room was a reasonable size, newish, and clean, but nothing special. You can hear everything your neighbours're doing through the walls. The attached restaurant serves quality pub food although marginally overpriced. On the morning of departure there was no hot water and, worse, no manned reception to pay the bill. It is standard UK accommodation and service without any real effort to do better.
