I have already done one review for lone pine park, but as I said in it I would return and I did this year for 2 weeks. It was better than last year, the lodges interiors have been updated so its more comfortable. One thing we noticed this year is that everyone keeps coming back. There were 6 other families over the 2 weeks that we were there that this was at least a second visit for. That has to be a good indication. I'm returning next year. Book early though as a lot of people we spoke to said they would be back again.

The lone pine holiday park is made up of 11 lodges which are all situated around an indoor swimming pool, small kids park (swings, slide, etc) and sandpit. The park isn't very big which is great because you can usually see or hear the kids all the time. There is an outdoor table tennis table, badminton net and kit, table football and various kids toys (bikes, prams, etc). No cars are allowed onto the site (there is a car park by the entrance) except for loading and unloading. From the car park to the far end of the site is only about 75m, so when I say small, I mean small. The new owners have only been at the park since about May 2005 and they are keen to make some improvements which will improve the interior to the lodges. They are really nice people and make every effort to help you out. I can't praise them highly enough and they say that the big lodges will improve for next year. Their own kids are often on the park and you'll find them only too keen to play with your kids, especially the babies. When my family and I went it was a really hot week and we preferred to just lounge around all day, popping in and out of the pool and letting the kids roam around doing their own thing. My 3 and 8 year old preferred to stay on the park rather than going out for the day! This site is just ideal for relaxing and doing nothing if you want. On the other hand it acts as a great base for things like the New Forest and Bournemouth. You can't get a better recommendation than the fact that we will definitely be going again. We've been to quite a few large parks run by some of the biggest names and the atmosphere at this park is just much more friendly.
