not sure were talking about the same pub, We stopped in to eat and found the staff not in the least bit helpful, bordering on downright rude,, as to the food,....

I totally agree,with the above post .
Stayed here during a long drive heading from Southampton to Oban.
The rooms were basic but very , very comfortable, I chose to eat in the restaurant rather than head into Perth town centre which is only 10 minutes away, was more than impressed.
Infact it was quite possibly the best food I have had since Xmas.
The room was situated in an accomodation behind the bar, which is lively , the locals were very friendly and good entertainment. We actually ,stayed two nights (couldn`t drive through my intake of alcohol) instead of one, before moving on.
I recommend this place.Infact we loved it .Booked two nights for next year when we left.
Handy for using as a Perth base or if visiting the Highlands.
Excellent and biker friendly too.
Rock on.

We visited the Bell Tree Inn just by coincidence as we happened to be passing, the food is glorious and the staff and owners are delightful. Would recommend a visit.
