We had Chestnut Lodge - terrible for two weeks.
The beds were awful - tried them all. The bathroom was a 'disaster awaiting to happen'. Cracked tiles, grouting coming out, timber under flooring rotting. Shower door so narrow nearly impossible to get in. We were lucky we did not get any foot infections.
No washing machine or dryer so had to go to either Devizes or Corsham for a laundramat.
No clean sheets for second week, or even offered clean set of linen for second week.
Being from overseas we were sort of stuck there, otherwise we would have left.
How it gets a 4 star warrant beats me!

arrived & all looked o.k,but inside very outdated & in need of refurbishment, mattresses & beds were poor, cobwebs everywhere, teapot could not be used,we had to buy a kettle for our visit, you would need a stepladder for the bath!just very old fashioned, not very clean, awful furnishings, the curtains were austrian blinds that were a hit & miss affair!everything was very used!, would not go there to stay again,
