I need to revisit my constant claim that High Road House is Chiswicks busiest restaurant. This sunday the Roebuck was absolutely heaving. Its no coincidence (lets face it W4 is no slacker for places to eat) for this food led pub is terrific. Cracking Pate and Chutney and mozzarella for starters, Terrific roast beef and Aubergine to follow - the pregnant one also managed to fit in a pear & almond cake - red wine, papers and our baby asleep all the way through. Almost felt like a sunday lunch used to be bwhk (before we had kids). Really liked the Roebuck, appreciated the 'on it' staff charging around with total efficiency. Would we go again...you bet

We really enjoyed the food here and judging by the number of punters in on an early saturday evening we are not alone. A large front bar adorned with tables gives way to another substantial 'room' for dining. This in turns leads out to probably chiswicks nicest pub garden (probably nothing it IS the nicest). Cote de Boeuf and pea shoot risotto were both perfectly cooked and presented and delivery by two very 'on it' waiting staff. All in all an easily merited 8/10
