we stayed in the cottages here at Great Trethew Manor and i wish we had not. As i put the key in the door i was assailed by the stench of damp. The cottage had damp and mouldy patches on the ceiling and walls, dead insects all over including tow huge crickets we had to remove. The place was filthy, the carpets and sofas were dirty and the cupboards dirty and dusty. We only stayed 2 nights and i was prevented from leaving instantly by a very easy going friend and the fear we would not find anywhere else. The bathroom is a cupboard, the shower only 2 feet square with a trickle of water and a mouldy shower curtain. i dared not open any windows for the plethora of insect life and cobwebs on the outside so the damp grew worse. This place is not fit for a dog. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Excellent Stay. Only stayed 2 nights, with the wandering peacocks and extremelly friendly chickens. Sat in the garden with our complimentary Cornish Cream Tea. Polite staff, and friendly proprietor. Food quality excellent, room clean and tidy. Could of done with a few more hangers. Staff very helpful and attended to your every need. No hesitation in returning as soon as we head back to cornwall.
