Went to the jolly for sunday lunch, recently been taken over by a very friendly couple who obviously know how to run a good pub. Real ales were excellent especially the Hook Norton. Sunday lunch was traditional home cooked, excellent meal and very good priced

This pub has a good live music tradition. We saw a top class jazz guitar and sax duo while eating and OK+ pub meal. We liked the place and the service was friendly and good and the ambiance very attractive. Last Sunday evening of each month there is a great pub blues band which pulls in fans, and guest musicians, from milesaround.

Popped in today and had a meal and pint and was very surprised to find myself and wife made to feel very welcomed by the landlord and landlady even though they were quite rushed off there feet. Food was great and the beer very refreshing and the garden and premises very well maintained and clean. Highly recomended with a great line up of entertainment for the near future in the evenings. There has been a change of owner! The beer is superb and the food was well priced and extremely tasty. Looks like a lot of work has been put in as the gardener was in the day of our visit and after chatting to the landlord about various things including decoration and his plans sound good. I recommend it!

Lovely looking pub however the staff and in particular the person who turned out to be the landlord ignored us for 15 minutes before serving us drinks. Food was ok but again took a long time and never got sauce despite asking twice.
