Arrived to a warm welcome on a sunny day. Staff were really friendly and the food was delicious, great fresh langoustines. We stayed in the room with a roll top bath and had an excellent sea view. We read about the Sportsman in the fabulous magazine in the chic and cheerful section. We found it a great find! Beaches are superb

Beautiful location and the food is excellent - but the service for the rooms was appalling. This may just be the one manager who we saw, but she had no concept of service. When we arrived, dripping wet in torrential rain, she continued her phone conversation for a full 12 minutes only pausing to complain about the front door being left open (which was not us incidently). Other staff did apologise but we were just left standing and waiting for this time. The rooms are lacking with wires hanging, a tv with no arial lead (!) and handles that fall off. When we required assistance, firstly to close windows and secondly to ask for an arial lead we were firstly ignored, then asked what we thought she could do (about the arial). The restaurant food is superb but again the same manager inhibits the atmosphere. When a pudding arrived too late, we were blamed for not accepting it - this was the 2nd dish which had arrived late. We are currently in dispute about our bill. Great potential but management needs sorting. Some of the other staff were lovely - hope they can survive there or get out!
