La Piazza, although reputed for it's good standard of fresh ingredients and fine dining still has a lot to learn about customer care. Having made reservations for 6 o'clock and arriving on time, my wife and son and I ordered our meals in time for the early bird meal offer. I made the unforgivable error of ordering a starter which apparently is the wrong thing to do if you don't want to wait an hour for the next course. My son's meal was brought out with my starter which meant that after he finished his he had to wait patiently for over an hour for us to finish our meal which is not easy for an eight year old. When we raised the issue of the unacceptably long waiting time (which was done with enough politeness on our part), we were told to "leave and never come back" and that "If you wanted the food quicker then you should have gone to Pizza Hut" My wife and i both appreciate good food and that restaurants can get busy, However the complete lack of care and consideration and eventual blatant rudeness and arrogance has disgusted us both and we shall be advising everyone we know that La Piazza is not The Place to eat.
