Hi i don't think much to the new doctors surgery, or the new system, or the fact that the receptionists give you your blood results over the phone when they can't read them. I have been given my blood results wrong by the receptionists only to have a doctor phone me at home afterwards to see how i was as i had a virus. This has happened to my sister as well, she went to see the doctor a few weeks after been given clear results over the phone, only for the doctor to say well you shouldn't have been told that!!! i have now got a skin condition and i'm on my 3rd diganosis in 4 months, been given about 6 different creams and steriods and it's still getting worse. i have meant to of been referred to hospital but still waiting.

I have lived in market drayton for many years after moving in from another area. I find people constantly moan about the medical practice in this town. The new building was not built to increase the size of the doctors surgery it was designed to incorporate other facilities such as midwifes, physio, dentists, cmht and substance misuse clinics. The system set up for emergency appts is first class, yes routine appointments are a headache to get but its not just this practice its all round the country. Yes ID is needed when registering but has anybody stopped to think, if you move away, you need to register elsewhere, your not going to get an appt easily if hundreds of people dont prove they have moved into the area and overload the practice. Why dont u take some time to look at the new practice in Market Drayton, the size and all the facilities that go with it. Im sure everybody would be complaining if the practice was still squashed into that tiny dated building that has now been demolished

You want to know try and register with the practice these days. Good luck to all those moving into the new housing developments!! No doctors I have ever known has needed as much ID! And despite being unwell, I need to take ID literally to the surgery before I can make any sort of appointment, I cannot send it in! Really helpful for someone who wrks out of area when they arent open weekends! Great! I do wonder how I would know my nhs details and old GP address if I was an "impostor" trying to register with the practice. I think they need to bring registration into the current century! Actually being able to sort this out without about twelve visits to surgery actually might save staff some time as well!!

Why is it that after the grand opening of our wonderful new medical centre, nothing's changed?
I've just made an appointment with Dr Coleman and the first one I can get is in exactly ONE MONTH!!! Why??? In what way exactly is the new centre better than the old one?
My wife is on dialysis and unable to get her flu jab. This despite the fact that out neighbour who is under 70 and extremely fit had hers two weeks ago.
I cannot for the life of me understand how Market Drayton Medical Centre can feel in any way proud of itself. Two weeks ago my 84 year-old mother had pains inder her arm and in her back and Shropdoc refused to come out and visit. She was in fact having a heart attack and is still in hospital.
I realise that this must sound like a rant, but just how much more do we have to endure in this country before we get the medical services we deserve?
