This is not a pub, at least not what I would define as one. More like a pretentious and under-performing restaurant.
Unfriendly and surly young staff serving, if you can get their attention, expensive and meager portions of sub-standard food.
Such a shame as the venue itself is charming.
Avoid like the plague.

Only eat from the set lunch menu if you are not hungry! I had the smallest lunch ever! I had plaice which I restrained myself from eating too quickly but managed to eke it out to 4 dainty mouthfulls! My friend had pork belly which was about 3 inches by 3 inches and managed to make it last 6 mouthfulls! We had not done a lot better with the soup. Bread is not included in the cover charge. We did complain - and noticed 2 ladies at another table also remonstrating at the portion size - but were told that that was what you get if you choose the set lunch menu!Definitely not good value for money.Interesting that there are no reviews available for this establishment.
