Having been told by an employee that there was a MERE 30 minute wait to obtain tickets, we joined the queue within the building. 1.1/4 hours later, we finally obtained our tickets. There were five payment outlets but only three of them were manned. It was a debacle! There were SO many people milling about that some of the exhibits were not visible because members of the public were draping themselves over said exhibits to be photographed by friends or family. There seemed to be no limit regarding the number of people allowed in at any one time and it resembled a cattle market and I am seriously sorry that I wasted £50 on two tickets to be jostled and pushed by too many people in too small a space. The ONLY memorable thing was the Spirit of Britain (hope that this is the correct title) where a mini taxi cab is provided and that was excellent. However, too little and far too late. No where to sit and have a coffee; no where to SIT! It was a horrid experince and I shall make sure that I tell everyone I know to not waste their money on such a rip off
