Fantastic probably the best English Heritage property in the country. Lots more than expected. The interior of the little castle is magical. Great audio tour and a lovely place to stop and have a break. Something for everyone the kids enjoyed the model castle and G&G the relaxing in the fountain garden.
We came off the M1 at junc 29 stayed for a few hours(was going to be an hour!) and then northbound to junc 30. Made us late home but worth it. We will go back for one of their events.
0h nice toilets and fabulous tea and sones in the cafe. Last but not least the staff there are so friendly and helpful.
