Best rates for a Local Hotel

On arrival at the hotel which I booked through LateRooms (and recieved a confirmation no.) on 6/12/2007 I was astounded to be told that the hotel was full and I had no booking as I had a 5 year old child in tow. After speaking to the young man on the reception (Chris) who was toltally unhelpful I proceeded to phone LateRooms and tell them that I had no booking even though the money had been taken out of my account and I had a confirmation of booking, they spoke to Chris who admitted that he had confirmed the booking and hung up. Chris then said that he had let my room out and he had no place for us (it was bitterly cold and windy outside) and said he would phone around to find me another hotel but I would have to claim my money back from LateRooms. I advised him in no uncertain terms that I was going to camp out in the reception until I had my money back as I had paid in full in advance and I expected a room, Chris then (very ungracefully) said he would refund me my money, which he did and I was fortunate enough to get a room at a B&B down the road which was called Khigtleigh where the proprietor Teresa was very helpful, her room was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was cooked by her and was more than adequate. So anyone looking for a room go to 44 Marine Parade and speak to Teresa she is kind, friendly and very compitant.
