Good Points: We arrived in the dark. Managed to locate the gateway to the drive and the Lodge car park. Found reception by chance an illuminated arrow would be helpful on the painted sign. Very helpful staff.
Bad Points: Odd to find our room No.5 had heavy bars at the window.
General review: Very pleasant and helpful staff. Had the account adjusted as prices Had increased from time of booking!

Good Points: First class staff, location and room size, interesting old building, golf on site was a big plus for my husband. Breakfast was excellent, food good overall.
Bad Points: Duvets were heavy making it difficult to find a reasonable sleeping temperature so a blanket would have been appreciated. Water in the bathroom is dangerously hot. Short history of the Lodge itself would have good to find in the Info pack.
General review: See above. A warning about the speed bumps would have been appreciated as in heavy rain it was too easy to hit the first one on the approach road.
