This pub is beautiful and has great potential.
Sadly, though the experience I had was not enjoyable and I will probably never go back there again.
I am a vegetarian and the choice was limited (1 dish on the Sunday menu or mushrooms on toast)and when we asked we got given some other menu and I ordered pasta.I got 6 pieces of pasta in what appeared to be lemon oil.It was undercooked and dry and I could not finish it,I ate my salad to fill up.On complaining,we got an arrogant head chef and they knocked off £3 of the £11 price tag for 6 pieces of pasta,of which I ate three.I was very disappointed and was polite and friendly but the chef did not want his ego bruised and looked as though he thought I didnt know what I was talking about and seemed totally disinterested.
I do think that if some effort went into customer service and varying the menu for all tastes, perhaps I would try it again, but it would take some convincing.
