General review: Loved it, great location, nice friendly atmosphere and reasonable, good restaurants nearby, chaep taxi's

Good Points: (I am assuming that this is about all the hotels I have stayed in during the past year) Spacious, comfortable, modern and clean en-suite facilities, restaurant and lounge bar on the premises. Amenities in good working order. Friendly competent staff.
Bad Points: (As above) Shower too small, fixed shower head, bed too hard and uncomfortable. Overall feeling of things (furniture, soft furnishings, fixtures etc) being past their best and not clean or fresh.
General review: (I am assuming this is re the Irvine Hotel) The room booked was not habitable on the night as there was some problem with the plumbing, however, the owner responded quickly and efficiently and booked a room at a nearby hotel which was of a higher standard and paid for by the owner of the Irvine Hotel.

This is as basic as it gets. More like a hostel than a guest house.
