this bistro is in a stunning location, and is very smartly decorated, however, this is good first impression is soon let down by food and service.
i dont have a huge appitite generally, but still found myself hungry, having had a starter and main. the meal itself was a letdown, a tough steak served with pathetically few macdonalds style chips, and small garnish (described as salad on the menu). all the deserts, looked and tasted distigntly bought in, with the kids ice-creams being served in their cardboard tub (which, although i wouldn't expect it homemade, i would expect a wafer and some sauce offered.)
this used to be my favourite place to eat, but new every time i go, i'm more disapointed than the last

A totally random visit for sunday lunch. The place is so beautifully situated and the outside covered area where we ate was stunning with hanging grapes and beautiful flowers. I knew of it's existance and have not visited for a while but my partner Dave had not been before and was very impressed.(he lives at Norton) Our meals were cooked to perfection and the service was exceptional. A lovely experience all round. Thank you
