Combe Lancey is a real delight hidden in the countryside just outside of Crediton. We stayed just for one night, stopping over on our way south, but we wish we would have stayed longer. The farmhouse has been updated and tastefully decorated while still maintaining its original charm. The owners are very accomodating and were happy to allow us to arrive late. They even made sure my husband had a lactose-free breakfast the next day. The double room we stayed in was truly beautiful with wide views over the countryside, a large ensuite bathroom, and little touches like bubblebath that made it extra nice. The only difficulty we had was finding it as we arrived in the dark and the lack of signs made it a bit difficult. I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone wanting a peaceful and luxurious stay for a very reasonable price.
