I went to M&DS on a school trip that we do every year and everyone wants to sign Up for it. When we got there we all ran in and got our all day wristbands that we got for 15 quid. The best rides I would say are Tsunami and tornado but you have to be over 1.35metres to get on but lucky I was taller than that. The log flumes are good the big one White Water you get a souvenir photo which is a good memory I have 3 now :D the pirate boat and magic carpet are good but you dont get strapped in on them there's just a bar...when I was there the express broke down and the runaway mine train was closed :( but the school always have a good day in the end we get Dinky Doughnuts which are good. This year we are going to Alton Towers on a school trip I know it will be better than M&Ds ;)

this year the first trip to M&d's was wonderful despite I got to go on all the different theme park rides, I was bonkers that day!!!! the magic carpet made me feel nervous despite the speed it goes at means I don't be able to move my head sideways or back. I enjoy the tsunamis at M&d's. The reasons for me liking the tsunamis is that the coaster, itself is an exciting, exclusive ride as it takes away all the tension. It's one of the rides I went on most. There people who visit M&d's it's considered important that the staff keep the theme park quests amused makes them feel welcome on the other hand it messes up the concept of M&d's. It's meant to give the meaning of 'TOO MUCH FUN FOR ONE DAY. Every visitors wants it to be flamboyant the time of their life.

Well what can i say LOL this is all in all a pretty poor theme park its more like the shows that used to turn up once a year that said both me and my 12 yr old decided to stay for the entire day and make sure we got our monies worth but the rides are too small and short in lenght to be considered thrill a minute roller coasters everything is far too expensive too many extras that are not included in the wristband save your money and head to blackpool or alton towers ;)

what a rip off!!! £74 pounds i paid for five wrist bands and a trip round amazonia which was by far the best part, i recommend the animal handling but of course it cost extra as dose a lot of things in m&ds. for that price i would not expect to pay extra to go on anything. i went with my partner and three kids who are 5,7 & 12 and the two youngest were to small for most things and most of the ones they could go on they had to have an adult on with them,my son is 7 and i had to sit on the baby rides with him, he was not impressed. so if you were on your own with a couple of younger kids you would have to leave one standing on their own so you could take the other one on (i don't think so)!! we went to the indoor part i thought hubby and my eldest could go off an do the bigger rides and i could sit an have a coffee while the younger ones played in the soft play, but guess what... it was £3 pounds each extra for an hours play, COME ON i paid £74 pounds for wrist bands an they can't even go in the soft play area. when eldest and hubby came back and told me they had to pay extra for the best rides and my son was to small for one of them(hes 12) we got our stuff and left. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AN MONEY GOING. we were at Alton towers in april THATS a theme park, m&ds is just an extortionate fair ground!!!

I could not recommend this theme park to anyone with children. We took up the deal with the hotel and theme park included. The hotel was first class with very friendly staff I would have no problem staying there again if it was not for the theme park attached to it. We entered the theme park only to find that on nearly all the rides both my children could not join in together my first child is 8 and the second 6 with very little height difference in them. The park was not very busy with most rides empty or only with a few people on them but a very strict height restriction was in place not only for being big enough due to health and safety requirements which i can understand but also being too big, in most cases my eldest was no more than 5 to 10 millimetres to big for most of the rides my youngest went on the trampolines this was one attraction no one else using at the time there are six or eight trampoline's but my the oldest was refused entry because he was 5mm over the height line with his shoes still on.The children dodgems was similar, leaving my youngest to go around on his own and I mean his own leaving his very slightly taller brother to stand there and watch him chasing his own shadow. The fun house was another attraction he was just that half inch too tall for. As for the attendants on these rides I found them to have a very bad attitude with very few speaking English or wanting to and just pointing to the height signs and wagging their finger to say you were not allowed on with a grunt this left you feeling very insulted. What ever happened to employing local people to give the feel you are in Scotland and not some eastern European country this is not to say that every foreign migrant worker does not speak part english or is not very helpful. VERY POOR THEME PARK

No Theme for a theme park pretty poor quality rides the decent ones you had to pay extra for a family of 4 wristbands £48 for some not very thrilling rides the bungey ball looked great but cost another 15 pounds for 2 and the bomber was the same a round of crazy golf cost about 14 pounds for 4 and the jungle place was another 15 pounds stayed for about 2 and a half hours (it was all we could bear)then went to mcdonalds on the way to coatbridge and went to the time capsule and had a fantastic time there read up about the places you want to go and look at reviews before going and save yourself a lot of cash.....

'Scotlands Theme Park' WHAT A JOKE!!!!!! (not to mention embarrassment to all Scots.) We bought a family pass plus a kids band - what a waste of £ 48!! My 6 year old (almost 7) is too small in height for any decent rides, he was expected to go on the kiddie rides. We also had a tall 10 year old, who was told he was too big for small rides - trampolines/ fun house!!, how can you be too big for a fun house??? what a waste of money. Please do not waste any time going there - head to LOUDEN CASTLE - at least they have FREE attractions other than pathetic rides.

read declyns review (which he seems to have written 2 days before going)and he is talking rubbish the park is dreary no atmosphere and how can it be a theme park with no apparent theme wasted our money on wristbands for uninspired rides stayed at the park for 2 hours before we had enough the only saving grace was amazonia it cost extra money £14 99 or something like that but we spent over an hour in the heat of the tropical house with amazing animals forget the rides just visit the jungly place

i go to m+ds every now and then hoping that one day there will be a wide selection of rides but it never changes. its far too expensive to buy ristbands because there aint many rides that are even worth spending money on. the park is dissapointing.

I went at the end of july, and it was amazing. I admit they could have had more rides, but the rides that were there were fantasic. Brilliant theme park! Something for everyone and thoroughly enjoyed! Thanks M&d's! You gave me and my family a day out to remember!! ps - we've still got the photo on top of our mantelpiece, the one where we are on the white water! Excellent price for keepsake photo!

on january i went to loudon castle with my 3 kids and my husband.i really enjoyed it and so did the kids. on may we all went to alton towers and that was the best theme park i have ever been to as there was so many rides for adults and kids. then on july we all went to m+ds for the first time to see what it was like. as soon as we entered,it didnt look like there was alot of rides there compared to alton towers and loudon castle. But anyway we got the kids a wristband each which was a shocking £14.00 ! once we had wandered round to see what rides there was most of them were baby rides and me and my husband were very shocked that there was only 1 roaler coaster that was working.Infact harly any rides were working .my 2 girls went on the zinger which wasnt really fast, the water log that kept breaking down ,the swing whih someone was sick on and noboby cleaned it up ,mobys revenge which my 2 girls got stuck on and the big wheel where you only got to go round once! my son went on the caterpular, the swings , the zinger and the water log !! that was all he could go on because he was to small for the big rides and to big for the small rides.me my husband and the kids were very upset because there was harly any rides to go on and we all wish we had spent our money on loudon castle or alton towers again where the kids can go on millons of rides! i would not recomend this to anyone. If i was you i would spend it on another theme park !!

We went for my daughter's birthday party and we were very impressed. The queues for the rides were not bad, as we expected worse, and the rides were very enjoyable. I left my kids to wander about theirselves with their wristbands, while I stayed in the bingo. I was impressed because I won two prizes! - garden lights and a massive tiger. The park was very clean, and everything was neat and looked very nice. There was hardly any litter too. They had rides suitable for all ages, which was brilliant. We all went on the big wheel together, which was throroughly enjoyed. There was great views from the top. Truthfully there was nothing that disapointed me. I would recommend this theme park for everyone in scotland, is it very near and takes no time to get there, and all the rides are excellent (as we ended up staying till the park closed)!!
