My Husband and I have been going for 17 years. We have travelled from Kenya and Yorkshire to get our monthly fix. Raph and Frank are incrediable hosts and the staff and the food are excellent. I have just had a fabulous surpirse birthday party there and all my guest enjoyed themselves. Here's to many more years at St H's. Mr negative review, I would like to know when the last time you went out for a proper dinner was???? We find the prices are very reasonable and they are still cheaper even with a hotel than eating at some of the michellin star restaurants over in Wiltshire....

I was amazed to read the negative review of this restaurant. For 'treats' we also eat at Manoir; we also love Chewton Glen.
We were invited to St Helena by friends and we went knowing very little about it. WOW- it blew us away! Food, ambience, service- all absolutely terrific. It is not cheap but it is certainly much more reaonable than other fine dining restaurants that we have visited and we felt it is up there with the best of them . Why no Michelin star? Either the owner does not want the hassle or the inspectors haven't found it because it certainly deserves at least one if not more.

We have made several visits to this wonderful resturant and have never been unhappy.... the food and service are second to none. I suggest the last person that reviewed sticks to his/her bells and whistles, as you have no taste!

Unimpressive, pretentious and overpriced, we thought. Very happy to pay for all the bells and whistles at such as Le Manoir au Quatre Saisons, because they do everything superbly, but unhappy to pay inflated prices here.
