Quite simply the best lunch we have had in the 21st Century. Served in a sort of gallic bistro room with huge aplomb all of the courses were first class. The building itself is also lovely (though Winchester itself can be a pain to navigate) and our only regret was that we were not actually staying. We wouldn't make the same mistake again

Absolutley superb. Had a delightful lunch, wonderfully prepared with excellent service in a lovely room. Could not fault it at all and to be honest, in comparison with our dinner at norton park hotel, very reasonable. The two experiences seemed so different, at totally opposite ends of the scale as far as eatig is concerned you have to wonder how hotel du vin could do it cheaper than the hotel (which was awful)...du vin is honestly the way forward for uk food - thoroughly recommended
