The food was was very good and the staff were friendly. We didnt have to wait long for our food and it was hot and tasted freshly cooked. Portions were a good size and the deserts were great. Overall value for money was excellent.

its our mum and dads 50th golden wedding anniversary and the waltzing weasel had been recommended to us by a friend so we booked a table for 10 and went along for our meal, the service from start to finish was 10/10 they couldnt do enough for us, the food was all freshly cooked and tasted beautiful, we had a relaxing drink in the bar when we arrived and we didnt have to wait long for before our table was ready, the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish and we couldnt thank them enough for making this special occasion one to remember, so to richard and staff we all send a very big thank you and yes you will see alot more of us in the future!

This is propbably the worst bar meal Ihave had in the North for ten years. This pub used to be great years ago but goodness how it had changed. We should have known when we arrived and there was only three people there that there was a problem. Nothing was freshly cooked - yesterdays potatoes swimming in grease - The roast beef was heated up from God knows when - am just praying that we dont have food posisoning! They didnt charge us and it seemed as if they were used to criticism. This is nothing to do with credit crunch - this is pub food at its worst - and they bring the whole iof British food into disrepute. Gordon Ramsay would love to get this one on his nightmares programme
