This is the worst cottage I have ever been to. The carpets were covered in dog hair, the kitchen utensils were dirty and some were covered in old food and rusty. The bedrooms were so small it was almost impossible to turn around. Nowhere at all to put personal possessions. The so called patio area was nothing more than a few filthy slabs with an old plastic picnic table such as one would see in a pub. Next to this was the shed where fisherman are supposed to put their fishing tackle. Not very nice to sit there. It was impossible to read at night as the lighting was so bad. The bathroom fan came on with the light and sounded like a jet engine because it was blocked up.Trips to the bathroom at night had to be in the dark. The soft furniture in the lounge area was old and dirty (this was admitted by the owner as was every other complaint). There were cigarette buts thrown around near the porch of the property. Nothing had been cleaned properly and the owner admitted she had not checked the place. This property is advertised in Hoseseasons brochure but unfortunately they will accept no responsibility because I booked direct with the owner. Never do that as the owners couldn't care less about their guests. She just ignores my letters of complaint. I would have been happy with just half of the cost refunded but she has chosen to ignore me so I have now put this review on the web and hope that other people do not have the same awful time that my family had. Keep clear of Elm Cottage at Hill View Lakes Leisure Park.
