The Merton hotel in Jersey channel islands is a fine hotel and i personally found nothing to complain about. It is near to park shops etc and yet in a quiet area with a large car park opposite hotel. The surroundings are immaculate and very comfortable and clean as are the bedrooms and the food is varied and delicious and i especially liked visiting the star bar room where the entertainment was excellent with an Abba night and country western cabaret night with a piano player, singer and band and backing singers singing many countrywestern favourites. There are many restaurants here along with an American style Jersey Joes Cafeteria which is cool and there is a large swimming pool sauna complex just across the road from this lovely hotel and i occassionally enjoyed cafe lattes sitting in the lovely garden conservatorie which looks out of the garden and enjoyed sitting here peacefully undisturbed reading and drinking coffee. This hotel though quite expensive if staying a week or two is very nice place with lots of entertainment and in quiet location yet nearby to everything and i would visit again here and recommend this to all
