With buildings dating from the 13th century, all set in a conservation parkland and lake, Middleton Hall was for 500 years the family seat of the Willoughbys.

Francis Willoughby III, the famous naturalist, was a founder member of the Royal Society. The lake is a haven for birds and wildlife.
