The Glenlivet estate, part of the Cairngorms National Park is a has a range of marked cycling and walking trails. In Tomintoul there is an adventure playground.

The 3 cottages are in a beautifully restored U-shaped farm building on the hillside; a further cottage is a small farmhouse. All cottages have stunning views to the mountains in the Cairngorms National Park. These 4 star cottages sleep 8, 6, 6 and 4, are double glazed, electrically heated with multi-fuel stoves (coal), modern kitchens and patio doors to ensure you enjoy the stunning views.

Dufftown, 9 miles from the cottages in the centre of the Whisky Trail with many Distilleries open to the public. The Glenffidich, Dufftown and the Glenlivet offer free tours and tastes. The Cooperage where all barrels are either made or repaired is close to Dufftown. Highland Games can viewed around Moray and Speyside during the summer. The Falconry Centre at Huntly is a great day out for children of all ages. It is very soothing to hold a barn owl on your gloved arm and stroke the soft feathers. The beaches and fishing villages along the Moray Firth are beautiful and nearly empty even in summer! My favourite villages and beaches are Findhorn, Lossiemouth and Cullen, but there are lots more! While enjoying driving on our quiet roads there are many castle to visit from Ballindalloch to Balmoral and Brodie to Fyvie! No day is long enough!
