The Axe & Compass in Heath Reach is a charming pub in the heart of South Bedfordshire. Only 2 minutes from the A5 we serve good cask ales, freshly home cooked food, quality drinkable wines and have a fantastic beer garden with an extensive children‚s play area. A truly beautiful landscape provides the back drop to many a country walk.

We feel the pub is a place for people to meet, eat, drink and chat in a relaxed informal atmosphere. Families very welcome. Having a party? We can help you celebrate with free room hire and party planning.

We also have a separate lodge with 8 bedrooms which are available for bed and breakfast 7 days a week. Long and short terms lettings available. ****All double and twin rooms refurbished October 2008***.

We are conveniently located for the many tourist attractions and walking routes that surround the local area. Local attractions include Whipsnade Wild Animal Park, Woburn Abbey & Safari Park, Dunstable Downs & Toddington Manor.

We are open from midday every day. We are an active supporter of the Proud of Pubs campaign & we would love to welcome you. All the best from the team.
