Situated 3 miles west of Monkey World on the A352, this 200 year old forge nestles in the heart of the sleepy rural village of Owermoigne. Within minutes of the major towns of Weymouth and Dorchester, the village is also very convenient for Dorset's beautiful award-winning coastline.

A luxurious double and a spacious single room, with en-suite, TV and coffee making facilities. Full English breakfast served in a family country kitchen.

Owermoigne is a small parish 7 miles south-east of Dorchester and 5 miles west of Wool, situated on the main A352 road between the two. Owermoigne is near the Jurassic Coast, which is the Dorset and east Devon coastline of England where countless fossils have been found over hundreds of years, and which has been given World Heritage Site status.

This puts the coast, which includes the beautiful cliffs of Golden Cap and the resort of Lyme Regis, on a par with the Taj Mahal, the Pyramids, the Grand Canyon and the Great Barrier Reef which are other World Heritage Sites.

The coast is the first natural site to win this ultimate accolade in England. Here at the Old Forge we are also close to Monkey World and the Tank Museum in nearby Bovington, both of which are very popular local attractions and well worth visiting.

We are a non-smoking and no pets b & b.
