Once a historic Coaching Inn, Taynuilt Hotel is now a comfortable Highland Hotel. Situated at the heart of the picturesque village of Taynuilt, within easy reach of the fishing town of Oban, the Outdoor Capital of the UK, Fort William and Glencoe, it’s a perfect base for exploring the area or taking part in some of the many outdoor activities there are nearby.

We have 12 comfortable, well appointed bedrooms; unmistakably Scottish in style and each one unique in its own way. For those special occasions we also have our Four Poster room.

Our Chefs use the freshest ingredients from the West Coast of Scotland to create our extensive menus which will stir your taste buds and warm your heart. Our well chosen wine list has the perfect accompaniment for your meal and you have the choice of two eating areas – the cosy Lounge Bar or the Restaurant.

All great traditional inns, in Scotland have great ‘pubs’, and Taynuilt Hotel is no exception, with a delightful traditional country pub atmosphere in our ground floor bar just to the right of the entrance to the hotel so hard to miss it. Here you will find a great selection of Scottish malt whiskies, local real ale and a well stocked bar as well as a roaring log fire.

If you can possibly spirit yourself away from an open fire and the large selection of Malt Whiskies, there are many exciting outdoor activities and fascinating places to visit. Oban, Inveraray and Glencoe are all within easy reach. Local outdoor activities on offer include fishing, sailing, horse riding, cycling, golf and bird watching. There are excellent coastal, forest and hill walks within easy reach and a trip to the islands is always a favourite too.

We have seasonal offers available throughout the year, so why not take a well earned break - relax and enjoy - at Taynuilt Hotel.
