Located at the edge of the "Square Mile", the original City and the most historic part of London. Home to the financial district, St Paul?s Cathedral and the Law Courts. Here every street is a household name.Standing on the site of what used to be Hoxton Market, the residence comprises three modern buildings in an attractive piazza setting. The architect has succeeded in incorporating local materials, such as yellow London stone and slate roofs, into a secure, well-insulated environment.Each building has several flats consisting of its own front door, own lobby, four, six or eight single bedrooms with washbasins, a modern kitchen and either two or three bathrooms. The kitchen/diners are fully equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, crockery and cutlery, kettle, toaster and TV set. Clean linen is provided for each guest and is changed weekly. Kitchens and bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned daily. The halls have coin operated telephones in each entrance and 24 hour access. Alexander Fleming has the benefit of limited car parking at cost, numerous shops, supermarkets and a launderette nearby, and a multitude of cafés and restaurants offering anything from traditional fish and chips to exotic menus.This Hall is ideal for young travellers, students on working & studying holidays and groups & individuals on a visit to London.Located on the piazza is an authentic Greek restaurant called the Real Greek. This restaurant has had excellent reviews and has expanded to include mezedes, small dishes, and good Greek wine sold by the carafe. The City/Square Mile, is the financial centre of London and the home to St Paul's Cathedral. First built in 694AD but destroyed by the Great Fire in 1666, the beautiful building that stands today was designed by Christopher Wren and completed in 1710. St Paul's has been the host to many great occasions including the funeral of Sir Winston Churchill and the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer.The Barbican is Europe's largest multi-arts and conference venue and the home to the London Symphony Orchestra. All year round there are programmes of art, music and film and just a short distance from Alexander Fleming!If clubbing is more your thing, there are several clubs in the area, one boasting a Tomb Raider style subterranean labyrinth!
