Just a few minutes from Somerset’s county town of Taunton, are Hestercombe Gardens. Hestercombe is a unique collection of three gardens spanning three centuries of garden history and design. Set in over fifty acres of woodland, the landscape and formal gardens offer peace, tranquillity, wonderful walks and views to take your breath away…

The Visitor Centre comprises The Stables Restaurant and Coffee Shop offering delicious homemade food, a delightful light and airy Courtyard, the Gardens Shop and Plants Centre stuffed with all sorts of gifts, treats and local plants and the Lutyens Gallery with art exhibitions by local artists. It is FREE entry to the Visitor Centre and its facilities.

The £1.6 million 17th century Watermill restoration showcases historic uses of renewable energy alongside original working mill machinery. There are regular demonstrations and a fascinating film showing in our underground theatre with footage of life on the Estate in days gone by.

The pretty Mill Tea Garden on the edge of the Mill Pond is delightful spot to stop for a Somerset Cream Tea or an ice cream in the summer months.
Other Hestercombe facilities include a versatile business centre and is a glorious setting for weddings and parties.
