The Mansion House is thought to have been built as early as 1581, although its style is that of a Queen Anne period house (1702-1714). It is best known as the birthplace of Norman Angell Lane (Nobel peace prize winner of 1933) who was born in this his family home in 1872. This fine historic building was restored in 2005 to the beautiful hotel it is today. We offer a high standard of accommodation, food, service and varied selection of beverages. We are conveniently situated in the centre of the small town of Holbeach and centrally placed for visitors to the fens. The Hotel offers a stunning venue for a wedding, christening, anniversary or special event.
