Opened in November 2008, this small, family-run hotel is situated on Moffat's High Street and is recently refurbished, with newly carpeted and furnished rooms. Close to the A74 (M), one of the main routes from England to Scotland, the Bonnington Hotel is great for a stopover on the way north or south or for a longer stay. Close to Gretna, Moffat is lovely, charming little town. A great place for walking; it was the first town in Scotland to become a "Walkers are Welcome" town.

All of the rooms have a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. A full cooked English breakfast is served in the attractive dining room, which looks out over Moffat's High Street. Evening meals are also available, with the excellent menu including daily-changing specials.
