many restaurants of all styles to choose from but, if you fancy Indian, can recommend The Maharajah in the Old Town. Decent pricing, excellent service & a great menu! Have outside dining in summer. No need to book in advance generally it seems, unless your party is larger than 6!

Fairlands Valley Park. Home to black squirrels, many Canada geese, whooping swans, dragonflies & much more! An oasis in this bustling town. There are fantastic walks, 3 lakes, a sailing club, fishing & a lot of open grassland available to all. Go under the underpass & there is a massive open green area (about ¾ mile square), incorporating the Millennium Wood. Dog walking here is wonderful. If you’re coming by car – there’s a big, free car park off Shephall View, signposted to the Scout Hut, over-looking the park, right-by the nature lake. - Elias
