Less than a mile south of Chipping Campden down a country lane is the small village of Broad Campden, only over-shadowed in size by its neighbour, Broad Campden has a wonderful collection of cottages, many thatched, built from the lovely golden Cotswold stone. The village is built in the a valley of small stream - the name "Campden" is early English for "Valley with Fields" - that feeds into the Knee Brook a little way to the east, and surrounded by rolling fields. St.Mitchael's & All Angels is a small parish church that was built in 1868 and designed by Prichard of Llanduff, it has a communion rail made by C.R.Ashbee. There is also a Quaker Meeting House built in 1663, making it the oldest meeting house still in use in the country. The Bakers Arms is a lovely, traditional Cotswold pub dating from the early 18th century. The Malt House, as its name implies, was the village malting house Barley from local farms was soaked in clear stream water, spread out on the malting floor and under gentle heat allowed to germinate, it was then dried to make the Malt and used in the brewing process to add flavour to Beer and Ale; it is now Guest House. Broad Campden is ideally suited as a base from which to explore the northern Cotswolds, there many lovely walks in and around the area and the Monarchs Way footpath passes through the village.
