Just nestling alongside the River Avon in north Warwickshire, south of Bidford on Avon and with views across the river and Bidford Grange golf club is the village of Barton. This village may not have any great history to boast about, there are a few Tudor buildings in the area and most certainly the local pub is worthy of mention – however for all of its unassuming nature this is one of the most peaceful places to visit and to enjoy the countryside. A stroll along the canal could lead you to Bidford on Avon or you may just prefer to sit and enjoy the surroundings. It is ideally located in the heart of Shakespeare country and for this reason Barton is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area. Stratford on Avon, Warwick Castle and a number of National Trust properties are located in the surrounding area.
