The village of Lympsham lies just south of Weston Super Mare on the north east coast of the English county of Somerset. It offers easy access to the M5 motorway via the nearby junction 22, providing an efficient route to all parts of the West Country. Settlements in the area are believed to date from as far back as Saxon times, when it is thought that attempts were made to improve drainage of the land. In 1129 it was recorded by the Abbott of Glastonbury that corn was being grown on the land that was previously thought to have been worthless. Nearby is Brent Knoll, site of a former Iron Age Hill Fort, which was an island before the draining of the Somerset Levels. The Church of St Christopher is Grade 1 Listed and dates back originally from the 15th century. It was significantly restored, however, in the 19th century. Lympsham is adjacent to the coastal resorts of Burnham on Sea, Brean and Berrow, all of which offer generous stretches of family friendly beaches. Accommodation options at Lympsham include the Batch Farm Country Hotel, which offers individually decorated rooms and can offer dining facilities to cater for larger functions.
